Book Review: English Castles This is an interesting little book that was just published and it covers all of the important aspects of the medieval castle during this century which was the zenith of the medieval was a time of great changes and great improvements to castles. Read my review of this book here: English Castles This book is available on Castles took a lot of planning to build. Special stones would be cut from quarries and shaped for certain parts of the castle. The stones were put together using mortar as a kind of glue. Mortar was made from water, sand and lime, and was smeared in layers and cracks between stones – when the mortar dried, the stones would be kept firmly in.

Directions. Carefully heat the butter in a pan until it is light brown. Let it cool down and put it into a mixing bowl. When the butter is firm whisk with a hand mixer until foamy, add sugar, continue whisking for about 10 minutes to get a thick white cream. Add almonds and the sifted flour, knead to get a firm dough. 2) Cut two of the smaller cups into a helmet shape and then put them all together to make the guard shape. 3) Paint the parts separately and wait for them to dry.(Sliver paint looks cool for the helmet and the armor) 4) Once dry, use a hole punch or craft punches to make shapes in the helmets and armor. 5) Use a glue gun or PVA to stick the shapes together and then add eyes using the paper.

this book was,in a word, horrible. there were so many holes in this story and i honestly think garwood put next to no thought into writing this.
